no more snacks out of the potty!

i thought i'd post a quick follow up to this post from earlier today. before bed tonight, before we put jammies on, i put jonah on his new potty just to start to get him familiar with it. he's not ready for serious potty training just yet, but i just thought we'd put it in the bathroom and let him get friendly with the idea of it. plus he very often announces when he's going #2, so i think that's one of the signs that he might be getting ready to be ready.

anyway, when i sat his naked little butt down on the potty he sat there very cautiously and giggled nervously. he then proceeded to stand up... and pee on the floor. do you ever feel like you're living in a sitcom? i do.

when i squeaked in surprise he got a little upset. i tried to remain calm and tell him that his pee pee goes in the potty. "put the pee pee in the potty, honey." after that he sat down to try again, but i think he got stage fright. he managed one drop. so hey, i guess this counts as jonah's first pee pee in the potty! who-ray!
